First Step (1)

I woke up in early morning exactly 02.30. I went to pick up my mother-in-law. She arrived from village by train and get off at senen. There was something trouble because of rain so that the train came late.

I had to wait about an hour before the train came. The time for the dawn prayer was approaching when my mother-in-laws got off the station, so we decided to took a pray before going home. Shortly before finishing the prayer, it rained quite heavily, forcing us to wait a while on the mosque's porch. Several train passengers who had just arrived were seen taking a rest in the mosque.

It's about 15 minutes passed, we decided to go home because the rain started to let up even though there was still a drizzle that was quite wet. There was a raincoat on the motorbike seat but because there was only one so my mother-in-law wore it while I was wearing a jacket made of thick material so that it held the rain water pretty well if it was just a drizzle.

The chilly dawn wind blows to the bone with the weather that is cold because of the drizzle that doesn't stop. Along the way, I put close attention to see if there were any potholes because the roads were quite slippery, especially because I was riding with my mother-in-law who are so old already. Several times it was hit by water splashes from speeding vehicles.

It took about an hour to get home. The distance from the house to Senen Station is quite far. The distance is one hour in quiet conditions, for example at night, but if it is during the day when the roads are busy, it is likely that the distance can take about 2 hours.

When I got home, I decided to continue sleeping because it was still raining. In my opinion, the most pleasant sleep is in the morning when it is raining. Such as like romantic condition that accompanies and makes sleep more soundly. I woke up about two hours later to continue drinking my coffee with some slices of toast.

At noon, we went out to deliver packages as well as buy the food for lunch. When passing through the road in front of the Ragunan Zoo, We can see vehicles waiting in line for quite a long time, maybe because today is the last day of school holidays, that's why most of the parents took their children spending time in public sphere like Ragunan. Some views that attract attention are seen passing by parents carrying their children or holding their hands towards the entrance to Ragunan.

The first day of the year, there is nothing special other than repeating the routines of the previous days. The euphoria of humans celebrating the new year is over with all the stories then returning to normal thinking about each strategy to continue life. There are many who write down their resolutions this year even though in the end, humans just need to survive and live life happily. Dreams are just tomorrow that hasn't happened yet so it becomes a mystery that shouldn't ruin today's happiness.

I myself have high hopes for this year. Unlike previous years, this year has become a momentum to determine my steps forward because at the beginning of the year, I decided to change jobs that required greater attention and effort. Of course there are two possibilities, whether I succeed or fail to live it.

That's why at this New Year's moment, I full attention keep my finger up for a prayer by bowing my head with hope, the Almighty accompanies my steps and strengthens me through the process that I will go through. The process is still a mystery because it is really a new thing for my life journey.

That's it, I can only try my best and will see the results a few months later.
